Stolen Gas

Voice 1:
(Man in animated, storytelling mode)
My Dad suspects gas is being stolen from our gas tank at night
and he sets up this homemade alarm, using a mousetrap at
the edge of our lane, triggering a buzzer in his bedroom. (BZZZZ)

Dad grabs his flashlight, sees guys taking off, can't
get the license number, but notices the plate is bent over.
The next night he goes to the local hang out, finds a car with a
crease in the license plate. Others tell him the owner's inside.

Dad buys the car owner and his friends some coffee.
They have a friendly chat. He invites them to
our house to meet Mom and have some ice cream. They come to our
house, eat ice cream, chat some more. Daddy never mentions gas.
The guys leave. As Mom cleans up ... she finds several
dollars under one of the plates.

Voice 2:
Couldn't we all use more creative non-violent ways to confront crime and conflict?

Voice 3:
Disarm your enemies with love.
This message of peace, from the Mennonite churches.
